I would like to thank all that attened the 1st Annual FEDERATED DAY on April 24th at the Highland Rod & Gun Club. This was a great success for the FRISC. Also thank you to the Highland Rod & Gun Club for hosting the event. If you have any feed back please let me know. Once again thanks to all for making it such a great day!
Dennis Etchells Jr, President FRISC
Dennis and Federated Members:
I would like to thank you for the invitation to participate and applaud your educational, advocacy and camaraderie efforts. The Field Day appeared to be a great success with smiles, well fed participants and broad participation. I was particularly pleased to see the efforts directed at the kids in attendance. The smiles on their faces as they broke clays (perhaps more than Team DEM) were priceless. We need to continue to draw new participants to hunting, fishing and the shooting sports. I congratulate all involved parties, believe you had a great success and again thank you for all your efforts. W. Michael Sullivan, Director RI DEM
I want to send my thanks on behalf of all our members for allowing us to host this event on behalf of the Federated Sportsman. I would also like to thank our DEM friends Director Michael Sullivan, Cathy Sparks and Larry Mouradjian for joining us. I am still trying to figure who won the trap shoot. Our thanks also go to the Federated officers who pulled together to do most of the planning that went into making it such a spectacular day.
It was a real pleasure to meet old friends and make so many new ones with the same interest. The time I spent with the kids was the highlight of my day. I had one little boy shoot 22’s for the first time and the look on his face made me think of someone who had just experienced something that he would remember for a lifetime.
Again thanks to all who helped put this together. I hope that it become an annual event. John Rudolph, President Highland Rod & Gun Club
"It was truly a very fine day. Federated officers and members should feel proud. The best part was seeing the kids who have never handled a gun, get that experience....I am still smiling....I'm practically one of them!!" Catherine Sparks, Chief RI DEM
"I would also like to join in on the Kudos to the Federated and especially to Highland R&G for hosting the event and giving us an opportunity to have a little fun, pick up a few pointers and enjoy some new acquaintances. It is always rewarding to feel the camaraderie. I thank you personally and on behalf of the Bureau of Natural Resources for all your personal efforts and particularly for demonstrating leadership in support, promotion and preservation of our shooting, hunting, fishing and outdoor heritage. A very nice event." Larry Mouradjian, Associate Dirctor, RI DEM
